From July 2024 to the present, Fusion Engineering and Technology responded to slope and pool damage at a property caused by an isolated pool overflow event. Site inspection revealed significant surficial erosion, failing historical retaining walls, and undermining of the existing pool. Due to the steep topography, regrading was not feasible, and the damaged pool was demolished. FET, in collaboration with Geogrid Retaining Walls, designed and permitted a new retaining wall system, drainage improvements, and erosion control measures through the County of San Diego. Construction documents addressed slope stability, proper water discharge, and long-term erosion mitigation.
